LIFE SERIES (Part 1)
The Intention
Life cannot be fully understood until purpose is understood. Many people know they are alive, but few pause to ask why they are alive. Existence alone is not the full story of life. Life becomes meaningful when the reason behind it is discovered. This is why the journey of every serious person must begin with understanding intention.
There was an original intent in the heart of God when He began the work of creation. Nothing God made came into existence by mistake, impulse, or confusion. Every act of creation flowed from divine wisdom, order, and purpose. Before anything was seen physically, it was first settled spiritually in the mind of God.
This truth is important because intention always determines design. Whatever a creator wants to achieve will determine how the thing created is formed, what abilities it carries, how it should function, and where it should operate.
Creation Reveals Divine Intention
When we study Genesis chapter one, we see a God of order and purpose. He did not create things carelessly. He created each thing according to specific assignments.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1
Light was created to shine and separate darkness. It was never meant to be hidden.
“And God said, Let there be light…” — Genesis 1:3
This teaches us that whatever God creates carries an assignment attached to it. Light solves the problem of darkness.
The sun, moon, and stars were placed in the heavens for signs, seasons, days, and years.
Genesis 1:14
This means heavenly bodies were not placed there merely for beauty, but for timing, guidance, and order.
Trees were created with seed in themselves and the ability to reproduce.
Genesis 1:11
This reveals that God builds continuity into creation. What He creates is meant to multiply and continue impact.
Fish were created for waters. Birds were created for skies. Land animals were created for the earth. None of them were designed to function outside their proper environment.
This teaches us a powerful truth: when something leaves its designed environment, struggle begins. In the same way, many human struggles come from living outside divine intention.
God’s Highest Expression in Creation: Man
When God came to the creation of man, something unique happened. He did not simply speak man into existence the same way He spoke other things. Instead, scripture reveals divine counsel.
“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…” — Genesis 1:26
This shows that man carries a different weight in creation. Humanity was made to reflect God in a special way. Man was created in God’s image and likeness, meaning man was designed to express the communicable attributes of God—wisdom, love, creativity, leadership, reason, moral consciousness, and spiritual capacity.
Man was never created to live like mere instinct-driven creatures. Man was created to think, choose, build, govern, and relate with God.
Man Was Created for Kingship and Stewardship
After declaring man’s image and likeness, God immediately spoke of dominion.
“…and let them have dominion…” — Genesis 1:26
Dominion has often been misunderstood. It does not mean oppression, pride, or selfish control. It means delegated authority under God’s government. It means managing earth matters according to Heaven’s principles.
Man was created to rule, but not independently. Man was created to represent God’s order on earth. This is kingship with responsibility. This is stewardship with accountability.
For example, a manager placed over a company does not own the company but must represent the owner’s interest faithfully. In the same way, man does not own the earth absolutely; he was entrusted with it by God.
Why Many People Never Maximize Life
One of the greatest tragedies is not death—it is living without understanding purpose. Many people spend years chasing things without asking why they were sent here.
When original intent is unknown, misuse becomes common. If someone uses a phone only as a paperweight, they ignore its true capabilities. If a farmer uses seeds only for decoration, harvest will never happen.
Likewise, when a person ignores divine intention, life can become reduced to survival, routine, and empty pursuits.
Many people measure success only by money, popularity, or possessions. While these things may have value, they cannot replace purpose. A wealthy person without direction may still feel empty. A famous person without identity may still feel lost.
Purpose gives meaning to achievements. Without it, accomplishments can still feel hollow.
Life Is a Trust and an Opportunity
Your life is not self-originated. It is a gift and a trust from God. You were given time, energy, gifts, opportunities, and influence for a reason.
This means life should not be approached casually. Every day carries value. Every gift carries responsibility. Every opportunity can become a channel for expressing the Creator’s intention.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works…” — Ephesians 2:10
The word workmanship means crafted product, masterpiece, intentional design. God did not make you randomly. He formed you with purpose in mind.
Example: David and Divine Intention
David’s early life looked ordinary. He was a shepherd boy overlooked by many, even within his own family. Yet Heaven saw more than what people saw.
“Man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7
While others saw a boy in the field, God saw a king in preparation.
This teaches us that present circumstances do not always reveal true purpose. Sometimes purpose is hidden beneath simple beginnings. Sometimes destiny starts in unnoticed seasons.
Never judge your life only by where you are now. God often begins greatness in quiet places.
Questions You Must Ask Yourself
If God made everything with purpose, then you also carry purpose. This should lead to honest reflection.
- What gifts has God placed in me naturally?
- What burdens or problems deeply move my heart?
- Where do I create value most naturally?
- What kind of impact do I feel drawn toward?
What patterns in my life may be pointing to assignment?
These questions help awaken purpose consciousness.
Why This Series Matters
This LIFE SERIES is not just information. It is an invitation into discovery. Many people are existing below their divine potential because they have never been taught to search for intention.
Through this series, we will uncover the foundations of life from God’s perspective—why man was made, who man truly is, what was lost, what can be restored, and how purpose can be fulfilled.
What Comes Next
In Part 2, we will explore The Identity.
Because until a person knows who they are, they will keep borrowing labels from culture, pain, family history, and public opinion.
Identity must be recovered before destiny can be pursued correctly.
