The year 2026 is already here.
In the quiet, reflective early hours of the year, I found myself thinking deeply about how this new season would unfold. As I meditated, I discovered many things, the first being this: I am no longer a child. And with that realisation came another—responsibility beckons.
But beyond responsibility, something much deeper calls: destiny.
This is not just another year to pass through. It is time to walk the path of destiny with all audacity, trust, and confidence in God, knowing fully well that He who has begun a good work in us will perfect it until the day of Christ (Philippians 1:6).
The Two-Fold Work God Is Doing in the Believer
Through prayer and meditation, I was reminded that the work God does in the life of every believer is two-fold.
1. Conformity: Becoming Like Jesus
The first work is inward—conformity. This is the process of becoming like Jesus in mind, character, and daily living. It is learning to:
- Think like Jesus
- Live like Jesus
- Love like Jesus
- Respond like Jesus
True spiritual growth is not measured merely by activity, but by Christlikeness.
2. Expression: Doing the Works of Jesus
The second work is outward—good works. This is the expression of the power, wisdom, and goodness of Jesus everywhere a believer in Him is found.
These two-fold works reveal our identity most clearly:
- As lights in the world, illuminating it from the darkness
- As salt of the earth, bringing preservation to a fallen world
This is how the believer’s life is meant to be expressed in these last days—in the fullness of identity and the bold expression of Kingdom realities, with confidence, assurance, and joy, all to the glory of God.
This expression is not occasional; it must be a daily pursuit.
Destiny Requires Intentional Steps
Destiny does not unfold passively.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step, and every little drop of water makes an ocean. While it is wonderful to dream big, it is wise to start with what you have, where you are, because time waits for no one.
The progress your life will make in 2026 is dependent on the intentional steps you choose to take daily toward the realisation of God’s plans and purposes for your life—plans that are often bigger than you.
This is why fulfilment is not by human strength or wisdom.
“Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord.” — Zechariah 4:6
Empowered for God-Works
Every child of God is ordained unto good works, and divine assignment requires divine empowerment.
This is why there is a need to:
- Set the face like flint
- Wait upon the Lord
- Receive strength, clarity, and divine alignment
Everything God seeks to do on the earth, He chooses to do through men. He partners with those who have yielded their hearts and lives to Him so that His will can be done on earth as it is in heaven.
This partnership requires alignment and empowerment, so that the believer’s life can fully express the realities of the Kingdom—as expected of one who has truly been with Jesus.

I implore you to make full proof of the time and place God has given you to fulfil your purpose. Destiny is calling, and this is not a season for delay, hesitation, or complacency.
Every day matters. Every step counts. And every yielded moment becomes a vessel for divine expression.
